- ASCE 7-22 for wind loads, seismic loads, snow, and load combinations as implemented in each workflow
- SDPWS 2021 (Special Design Provisions for Wind and Seismic) and NDS 2024 for wood-frame shear wall design where applicable
- ACI 318-25 for concrete foundation modules where the tool cites that edition

- Cover Sheet — Create professional cover sheets for structural calculation reports. Add project title, address, client info, engineer stamp, and company branding per standard practice.
- Dead and Live Loads — Build dead and live loads per ASCE 7-22. Assemble dead loads from material and assembly weights (Table C3.1-1a) for roofs, floors, walls, and ceilings; assign live loads by occupancy (Table 4.3-1) with roof live loads (Lr) and live-load reduction — summarized for gravity load combinations.
- Seismic Loads — Calculate seismic base shear and story forces per ASCE 7-22 Chapter 12 (Equivalent Lateral Force). Site class and spectral parameters, risk category and importance factor, seismic force-resisting system (R, Cd, Ω0), period, response coefficient Cs, vertical and horizontal force distribution, and diaphragm design forces (Fpx).
- Wind Loads — Calculate wind loads per ASCE 7-22. Exposure category, topographic, and velocity-pressure parameters, then design wind pressures on the Main Wind Force Resisting System by both the Directional (Chapter 27) and Envelope (Chapter 28) procedures, including the wind load cases.
- Wood & Steel Beam — Design wood beams per NDS 2024 — sawn lumber, glulam, I-joists (TJI, BCI), LVL, LSL, and PSL — or steel beams per AISC 360-22 (LRFD) with W-shapes, rectangular/square and round HSS, and pipe from the AISC Shapes Database. Build the load case from ASCE 7-22 load types (D, L, Lr, S, W, E, etc.) with uniform, point, and triangular/trapezoidal loads over single- or multi-support spans; checks moment, shear, and deflection — with full NDS adjustment factors for wood and compactness/lateral-torsional buckling per AISC Chapter F for steel. Switch between the wood and steel design of the same beam to compare sizes on screen.
- Floor/Ceiling Joist & Rafter — Prescriptive span tables for floor joists, ceiling joists, and rafters per 2024 IBC Chapter 23 (Tables 2308.8 and 2308.11), plus Trus Joist® TJI® engineered I-joist spans. Allowable spans by species, grade, size, spacing, and loading.
- Wood & Steel Column — Design wood columns per NDS 2024 — sawn lumber, glulam, LVL, LSL, and PSL with the column-stability factor CP — or steel columns per AISC 360-22 (LRFD) with W-shapes, rectangular/square and round HSS, and pipe from the AISC Shapes Database, including flexural buckling (Ch. E) and slender-element sections (E7). Effective-length (Ke) factors for pinned, fixed, and sway end conditions per axis; ASD combinations for wood, LRFD for steel. Switch between the wood and steel design of the same column to compare sizes on screen.
- Wood-Frame Shear Wall — Design wood-frame shear walls per SDPWS 2021 and NDS 2024 for wind and seismic. Distribute story shear to wall lines from the building plan, unit shear capacity by wood species and sheathing, hold-down (tie-down) forces, base shear transfer (anchor bolts and framing clips), with ASCE 7-22 load combinations.
- Isolated & Strip Footing — Design isolated (column) and strip footings per ACI 318-25 with ASCE 7-22 load combinations. Soil bearing, flexural reinforcement with minimum steel, and one-way and two-way (punching) shear.
- Cantilever Retaining Wall — Design cantilever concrete retaining walls per ACI 318-25, IBC 2024 and ASCE 7-22. Overturning and sliding stability (IBC 1807.2.3), soil bearing, stem/heel/toe strength design, and reinforcement development with IBC Table 1610.1 and ASCE Table 3.2-1 lateral soil loads.
